What is GRP Roofing?
GRP roofing (also known as Glass Reinforced Plastic or fibreglass roofing) is a flexible roofing resin with fibreglass strands used to reinforce the product. This method of roofing is very popular amongst roofers for its seamless finish and various benefits among other types of roofing systems.
Our GRP Roofing Systems
We currently provide two available flat roofing systems that our GRP roofing products will be useful for.
Our systems available include PRO GRP and RES-TEC. These systems deliver benefits that individually suit homeowners or builders.
PRO GRP is a cold applied system ideal for roofs with complex detailing. It is very durable and impact-resistant so it can be used in applications where foot traffic is common. Non-slip walkways can also be incorporated. We have a PRO GRP Calculator which will use your roof measurements to create a kit of materials to suit your requirements.
One of our RES-TEC systems is the Flexitec 2020, a flexible and seamless GRP system that combines the durability of fibreglass systems with the versatility of overlay systems. It can be applied to almost any roof surface. We also carry the RES-TEC 1010 GRP system which is ideal for fresh installs. Both of these systems can be ordered as individual items or using the Flexitec 2020 calculator or RES-TEC 1010 GRP calculator.
What are the uses of GRP?
Glass-reinforced plastic is typically used in a variety of applications, mainly for construction purposes such as piping, PPE, or even house building (as you can see from our GRP roofing systems and supplies).
What are GRP products?
These are products that supply the maintenance or build of a flat roof. These products will also range from a variety of materials that many builders use in order to properly construct flat roofs for their homes or for customers.
What is the difference between fibreglass and resin?
Resin is a thick liquid that can be used when hardened with additional material (such as a hardener), whereas fibreglass is a woven cloth that resin soaks into.
Both products can be used together in order to strengthen the supply you want to build.
